I created a series of moving image projects in various categories which include film, stop motion, hand drawn animations, and digitally drawn animations. I decide to mix them together to show that the moving image can be displayed and interpreted in various ways.
5 Truths and 5 Lies
I created this video with the intention of painting a narrative of relearning self worth and the straining effects of overworking. This was my final project for video 1, and I have lost a close family member to suicide, prior to coming to Purchase as a transfer student in the Fall 2025 Semester. My loss significantly affected me mentally, as I would later be diagnosed with PTSD shortly after the incident, and I was worried that the trauma would negatively affect my academic performance. I, however, was able to dig deep and turn my pain into my strength for this final project, and l was able to pour all of the agony and rage I carried from my personal life into this piece.
