Post Graduate Plans

My Post Graduation Plans as a New Media Major is to establish myself as an entrepreneur and have my own e-commerce platform. Being my own boss was something that I always wanted to be because both my father and his father had their own companies. My grandfather was an engineer who went door to door selling gadgets, and my father is a geriatrician who currently owns his own practice. Each of them previously worked for a company prior to opening up their own business, and knowing this inspires me to emulate them and succeed like they have.

I want to start by creating my own website, and sell music and art content that I create myself. I also have experience creating my own video game. I have previously graduated from Purchase with a BFA in painting and have a background in graphic design, photography, film, animation, and programming. I plan to continue to take courses such as video game design and 3D Animation to help me accomplish my goal.

I believe that exploration is the most important step for me to take at this part in my life. I understand what I want for myself, and I have the experience. All I need is to have a set plan to help me achieve my goal. I will continue to take classes that will help me accomplish my goal as well.
